Q: What is the initial franchise fee?
A: For the first franchisees who join the
KublaZ™ Team, the fee will be $15,000. Thereafter, the fee will be $25,000. The initial term of the Franchise Agreement is 10 years. A franchise may request a 10-year extension (twice); the renewal fee will be $5,000 for each extension.
Q: Can I sell or transfer my ownership?
A: Yes. The individual must meet the current qualification requirements and be approved by the franchisor before any transaction is allowed to occur.
Q: What are the total costs for a KublaZ™ restaurant?
A: There are a number of considerations when identifying the cost factors for a new restaurant – including the initial franchise fee, grand opening advertising requirements, lease acquisition, leasehold improvements, furniture and equipment, interior signage and décor, exterior signage, inventory and supplies, and miscellaneous working capital. With that in mind, the cost to open a
KublaZ™ restaurant will range from approximately $285,400 to $384,000 (variations in investment costs are typically a result of choices made by the franchisee).
The only expense that is paid to the franchisor is the franchise fee. A franchisee has the option to purchase equipment, supplies, furniture, signage, and décor items from vendors of their choice as long as the purchases are in strict compliance with the standards established for the system.
Q: How do I order my food products?
A: KublaZ™ has an agreement with a regional food distributor that will deliver all of your products to your restaurant location.
Q: Do I need to actively work the business?
A: We require that individual franchisees participate personally and full-time in the business. If the franchise is a legal entity, then there must be a designated individual who will be involved in the daily activities of the restaurant(s).
Q: Once a franchise agreement is signed, how long does it usually take before the restaurant will be opened?
A: Typically, it will take from 2 to 4 months. The most important time element will the identification of the site along with the lease negotiation.
Q: Is financing available?
A: KublaZ™ does not provide financing for new franchisees. However, there are a number of preferred regional lenders offering SBA loans.
Q: Is training provided to new franchisees?
A: Yes. There is a comprehensive 10-day training program covering all aspects of the day-to-day operating business. Also, there will be a corporate representative available to assist you during your grand opening activities. You will
be provided a very comprehensive Operations Manual, a Marketing/Advertising Manual, and a Sign Specifications Manual.
Q: Do I have a protected territory?
A: Yes. Each franchisee will have a protected territory that is normally a 2-mile radius from the restaurant’s location. This protected territory is much smaller for downtown urban areas because of population considerations. We are focusing, initially, for immediate development in Washington and Oregon then further expansion in Idaho, Montana, Nevada, and Wyoming.
Q: Are area development agreements available?
A: Yes. For any development of markets that are outside the immediate Northwest region, a 3-restaurant development agreement will be required.
Q: How can I get some answers right away and determine if this is the right opportunity for me?
A: For immediate answers to your questions, please call 1-866-711-2002 for an informal talk about this exciting "quick-casual" restaurant concept. You are under no obligation, whatsoever, when making this phone call.
Q: What is my next step in order to start the research process for the KublaZ concept?
A: Please fill-out the below form. You will be contacted within 24 hours by a KublaZ representative who will answer your questions. If there is continued interest, you will be sent an application followed up by a personal meeting where the Uniform Franchise Offering Circular will be presented and discussed. The UFOC is a federally required document for companies who franchise their business or product. This legal document provides detailed information about the franchised business and describes the relationship requirements between the franchisor and the franchisee.
